Interested in getting involved on campus, meeting new people, and planning awesome events for students?

If so, then MUB Board is for you!

The Memorial Union Board is a campus programming board committed to providing a wide variety of events, activities, and experiences for the student body at Michigan Tech. We strive to appeal to a wide variety of students, while offering new and exciting opportunities for individuals to de-stress, meet new people, and have some fun! In addition to our ever-changing line-up of events, we also build in events that the Michigan Tech community has grown to look forward to. Events such as our O-Week dance parties, Stuff-a Husky, and Spring Fling are all traditions that we are proud to implement each year.

In addition to our events, we also offer an opportunity for those students that become members to learn, grow, and lead – all while making lasting friendships! Come check us out at any of our events, or at our weekly meetings on Wednesdays from 5-6 pm. You can also stop by our office in MUB 106 Monday through Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. We look forward to meeting you!

Official Description :

MUB Board (Memorial Union Board) is a student organization devoted to providing social, cultural, recreational, and entertaining activities for the student body while promoting the use of the Memorial Union Building and its facilities for the benefit of Michigan Tech and its students.

HISTORY

The Memorial Union Board was founded as a part of the Memorial Union Association and our original constitution was drawn up by a student and faculty group over the period of about 3 years. The organization was approved by the then Board of Control of the College and the Student Council in the fall of 1952. At that time, the Board consisted of twelve members, six of whom are students, along with a representative from the Alumni Foundation, the Alumni Association, the treasurer of the College, a Board of Control member, the Union manager, and a faculty representative.

Over the course of our lengthy existence, our membership and structure has changed, but our goal of providing students with a dynamic out-of-classroom experience has remained!
